Abstract

LiveDrop is a real-time data transfer technology operating on mobile devices, and it demands significant computational resources. To boost transfer speeds, GPU programming offers substantial potential. This presentation will delve into GPU programming, explore how it’s applied to LiveDrop as a case study, and discuss the expected performance gains—as well as the challenges developers may face.


Biography

Marko Palangetić has been an Algorithm Developer at LiveDrop for the past two and a half years. He works on R&D tasks involving fundamental research on LiveDrop’s technology, focusing on enhancing its speed and robustness. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Ghent University, where his research focused on explainable methods in Artificial Intelligence.

Erno Langendijk co-founded LiveDrop nearly four years ago and currently serves as the company's CTO. He is the inventor of more than 30 patents and has built a strong track record in several deep tech companies. Erno holds a PhD in Physics from Delft University of Technology and brings a wealth of experience in turning advanced technology into real-world solutions.
