This talk discusses OpenStack,
the Open Source technology used to
build Nefos' public cloud platform. At first we'll learn a little about
network connectivity and datacentres in Eindhoven. In addition we'll see
an overview of all of OpenStack's microservices as implemented at Nefos.
From thereon we'll take a closer look at each service and meet
OpenStack's API. Kees will illustrate all services using command line
utilities while building up an example setup consisting of commonly used
Oh, and there's a web based graphical user interface as well.
Back in ‘96 Kees discovered the wonders of Open Source software and
especially Linux. First his hobby and later career in IT brought him a
lot of experience and expertise in systems operations and IT architecture.
Nowadays Kees works as a platform architect and partner at
a (not so) new kid on the block in terms of public cloud computing.
